Business coaching for you!

Barends Psychology Practice LogoAre you an entrepreneur, team leader, investor or driven professional who is currently plateauing or stuck, and struggling to grow their company, revenue or as an individual or team? Then it’s likely you’re struggling with certain (irrational) fears and anxieties that limit you in your creativity, decision making processes, pro-active behaviours, and risk-assessment. It’s these things we’re tackling with business coaching.

As long as there are rivals in your field, there is room for growth. How much growth not only depends on supply, demand, and financial resources, but also your goals, limiting beliefs, and fears.

Business coaching at Barends Psychology Practice focuses on the mental and psychological aspects of your professional career:

Fear of failure
Fear of public speaking
Fear of rejection
Fear of taking responsibility
Fear of being vulnerable
Fear of investing
Imposter syndrome

Issues with setting boundaries
Difficulty making tough decisions
Low self-worth
Low self-esteem
Limiting beliefs
Adopting new approaches

Is business coaching for me?

Business coaching is for those who want to grow as a professional and who are not afraid to do the work to become a better version of themselves. This includes: being vulnerable, having self-reflection, facing your fears, and applying new strategies and behaviours.

What do I offer?

I do not crunch numbers, don’t look at your sales, FTEs or other money related issues.

I do, however, identify the core issue of your lack of growth and help you overcome them. My extensive treatment experience allows me to identify core issues usually within an hour, identify the best course of treatment for you, and work on a solution focused basis.

My post-master education in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, EMDR, Schema therapy, ACT, and Group therapy, has been extremely helpful to many entrepreneurs, team leaders, investors, and driven professionals who’ve seen their company/revenue/salary grow significantly since we started working together.

I prefer to differentiate between individual therapy and business coaching; the normal therapy rate applies for individual therapy sessions, whereas for business coaching sessions the business coaching rates apply.
An example to illustrate the difference:

It is possible that you have attachment issues. These attachment issues may create a more turbulent private life (unsteady relationship, relationship issues) which may negatively affect your productivity at work. The business coaching part, in this example, focuses on rhythm, mindset, communication, and work-related anxieties (such as fear of losing job). Personal therapy, in this example, focuses on changing core beliefs, treating attachment-style-related childhood trauma’s, and setting boundaries. The latter part is necessary in order to become a better professional, but does not fall within the terms and conditions of business coaching.

How does business coaching look like?

  1. Schedule a call to talk about the business coaching packages and the services I provide.
  2. You (or your company) picks an introduction package.
  3. In case of multiple employees: a brief introduction is made.
  4. You or the employee schedules the 90 minute session.
  5. Comprehensive personality profile and evaluation session of approximately 90 minutes in which we identify the core of your professional issues. If needed, we’ll discuss some theoretical frameworks behind your fears. We will discuss the best way(s) forward. You’ll get some homework assignments, informed consent (in case you decide to move forward).
  6. Receive homework assignments.
  7. We’ll establish trust, tackle your core issues, and work towards a better version of yourself.
